This is the first time I looked at the Twitter website. I viewed the "Twitter in Plain English" video, and it gave me an idea of what it is. It seems to be something between an email and a blog, but I'm still not sure in what instances I would actually use it myself.

Thing 9: YouTube.com

YouTube.com is a very interesting site of current events and archival items. The quality of the audio and video can vary, but for the most part it seems to be of very good quality. It was interesting to watch clips of some of President Obama's speeches, and that also attests to the timeliness and currency of this website.

Thing 12: Social Bookmarking

Social bookmarking may be a good thing if you want to share some of your favorite websites with your family, friends and colleagues. It can be a fun way of sharing new things you have come across, and also find out about new things that have been sent your way that someone knows will be of interest to you.

Thing 11: Tagging

I'm not sure if tagging is really necessary for books that have already been cataloged in an online catalog such as SWAN. I searched for a novel, and it already had 6 subject headings in it's bibliographic record. Of course, nonfiction books automatically will have subject headings assigned to them.

I used MySpace to find things relevant to the La Grange Public Library, and read through comments posted on this website.
